Cosas worth-clicking on

Pasados los 42 días del primer mes del año, marca el tiempo perfecto para publicar en el blog después de un (blogger) letargo poco deseado.

En el 2016 publiqué un artículo llamado "Thing you should be clicking on 2016", en el que curé sitios/blogs/música en internet para darle click en el año. Soko y The Messy Heads marcaron un antes y un después en la vida.

Es miercoles 4, quinto día desde que Views de Drake fue lanzado y más de una semana desde que Beyoncé trajo al mundo a Lemonade. El verídico #blessed. Por eso, después de meses y meses de ausencia, TFB regresa con este outfit de un día desconocido de abril, el cual aparentemente era perfecto para usar creepers (como todos los días de la semana). Dejando a un lado la narrativa en 3ra persona...decidí ponerme un top sin mangas, previamente rescatado de una caja olvidada, un mom jean y un cinturón que fácilmente se podría mezclar con la portada del álbum de Alvvays.

It's wednesay, fifth day since Views by Drake was released and over a week since Beyoncé gave birth to Lemonade. We have been #blessed. After months of being absent, TFB makes its comeback with this outfit of an unknown day of april, which apparently was perfect for wearing creepers (isnt everyday?). ok, leaving aside the narration in 3rd person, I decided to wear a sleveless white top, which was previously rescued from a box; some mom jeans and a vintage belt which could easily be part of the cover of an Alvvays album.

Terrence

Son las 0:14 y los lunes no son tan malos. Con la canción más reciente de Lana del Rey, "Terrence Loves You" - la cual me atrevo a decir que es una de mis favoritas ahora- viene un sentimiento nostálgico medio-Morrisey que solo puede significar que el verano ya casi se acaba. Estos últimos tres meses parecían como una eternidad pero al menos logré obtener suficiente material fotográfico en mi 35mm kodak para llenar una "inspiration board". (He pasado suficientes horas en pinterest como para confiar que cualquier DIY me saldrá increíble). En fin, tres piezas de este outfit son vintage, los mom jeans son una de las mejores adquisiciones recientes y bueno...superstars.

It's 0:14 and Mondays aren't so bad. With the recently released song by Lana del Rey, "Terrence Loves You"- which I dare to say that is one of my absolute favorites by the artist- comes a very mellow (almost Morrisey-like) feeling that could only mean that summer is over. These past three months of summer migh have seemed like an eternity but at least I got enough footage on my 35mm kodak to cover up my soon-to-be inspiration board. (I've spent way too many hours on pinterest, enough to actually make myself believe that I'm capable of doing any DIY project). 

Three pieces of this outfit are vintage, the mom jeans are probably one of the best purchases I've made recently, and...superstars because why not.

Últimamente mi lista de deseos ha ido creciendo inhumanamente (?). Y es que esta lista que creé en Polyvore se asemeja bastante a todo lo que compraría sólo y únicamente si canjeara múltiples gift cards o cupones (o la lotería). En estas vacaciones se me ha dado por crear decenas de listas de deseos: maquillaje, cosméticos, zapatos, ropa, actividades, sueños, películas, series y hasta de mis instagrammers favoritos.  En fin, trataré de compartir varias listas lo que queda de este mes. 

Disclaimer: *la gorra negra de cuero se la puede conseguir en el Mercado Artesanal de Quito. *los que me conocen saben que mis creepers sufrieron un accidente, por lo que tengo la necesidad de conseguir otros a toda costa.

Lately, my wishlist has been growing in a very inhuman way. The thing is that this list that I created on Polyvore is pretty similar to everything I would purchase ONLY if I redeemed multiple gift cards or coupons (or won the lottery). Los cambios de clima de estos últimos días veraniegos en Quito han sido casi proporcionales a los mood swings de un cáncer y un géminis combinados. Un día de estos opté por usar una blusa "cut out" de Dear One,  con unos high waisted negros, mis adidas superstars y un bolso negro CK ya que añade un poco de good-drama al outfit.

The changes of the weather this past few summer days in Quito have been pretty much equivalent to the mood swings of a cancer/gemini combination. One of these days, I decided to wear a "cut out" blouse from DearOne along with some high waisted jeans, adidas superstars and a Calvin Klein bag (the perfect addition of good-kinda-drama to the outfit).

Generation Y

Still can't get over the Emmy's last night (round of applause for Queen Jessica Lange and the whole AHS and OITNB cast), basically that's the reason why I took one of  Madison Montgomery's quote from Coven: "I am a millennial. Generation Y. Born between the birth of AIDS and 9/11, give or take. They call us the Global Generation". One moment of silence. I created this outfit by putting this lovely top from DearOne, some high waisted pants from Bershka and black creepers. I'm in some deep love with this top since it has this lovely ethnical print but at the same time is very lightweight making it perfect for summer (even though its ending already).

Todavía no supero la noche de los Emmy Awards (ronda de aplausos para la reina Jessica Lange y el resto del cast de American Horror Story y OITNB), bàsicamente elegí titular a este look así por una frase de Madison Montgomery en Coven: "I am a millennial. Decidí ponerme un crop top de DearOne (se llama Tiempo de Bolero, heart eyes emoji), jeans de talle alto y creepers. Lo mejor de este crop top, aparte de su hermoso ethnical print, es que es super liviana, haciendo de este outfit perfecto para el verano (al menos en Quito). Disfruten.

Today's lovely dress by DearOne is mint, nearly matching my pastel nail polish, sort of pale, black velvet creepers matching my soul (jk), paired with white socks just above the ankle, woolen hat, a pair of sunnies and of course...afterlight's :Nico and Russ.

It seems to me, that today Ive decided to be my own pastel slash pale slash soft grunge 'princess'. Plus, besides Sia's new album (clearly summer musique)..I bring this other tune by Zella Day --> East of Eden (enjoy).

El vestido Acoustic Lady de Dear One en menta, mas o menos, se asemeja a el color pastel de mis uñas, creepers de gamusa negra para combinar con el color de mi alma (jk), medias blancas (de preferencia con encaje en el elástico), sombrero negro (obviamente), par de gafas y como no puede faltar...Nico y Russ de afterlight! Tengo la idea de que para este look he decidido ser mi propia "princesa" pastel/pale/softgrunge.

Seems like the hype for #Selfie by the Chainsmokers is on point these days, not a big fan though. But, I'm a proud instagrammer. 

I apologise for another week of no-outfit post. These months have been all about busy things, busy schedules, and tough decisions about the future, hopefully April's going to be a breeze of fresh air and will result in multiple lookbook worth posts.
